Sustainable Tourism Tax Update

We have just be informed that “at the Budget in July 2024 an announcement was made to increase Government fees including the Sustainable Tourism Levy from £3.00 to £3.50” (to take effect from 1st December 2024).

This will be collected from every hotel or apartment where tourists stay for adults and children over the age of 12 (it won’t be collected at the border, airport or port but at the place of stay). It’s a bit of a pain!

All money is passed on to the Government each month directly, we just ask for this fee to be paid by Debit card, BACS or cash, please – especially as some credit cards have very high base fees when used abroad.
